Explanations rather than announcements. Everything here describes how the product actually behaves today.
The shape of the thing
A brand is set up once: who it is, what it is called, how it speaks. That record is the thing everything else refers back to.
What the brand owns — photographs, video, documents, notes — is brought in and organized rather than uploaded and forgotten. Originals are read where they already live and are never moved or modified.
Work is made from that material: web pages, posts, drafts. Nothing made is published by the act of making it.
A person approves. Only then can something be scheduled or sent. There is no configuration that removes this step.
A brand is not a folder of files
The most common mistake is treating every photograph as an idea. Most photographs are not ideas — they are material, and they only become useful when grouped into the occasion they came from.
The second most common is collapsing several real businesses into one brand because they share an owner. If a business has its own customers, its own name and its own reason to exist, it is its own brand. Splitting it later is far more expensive than starting it separately.
The third is treating a handle, a domain or a logo as the brand itself. Each of those is something a brand has, and each can change without the brand becoming a different brand.
What connecting an account actually involves
Connecting a social account is a permission you grant to a specific account, which you can withdraw. MyBrandIs stores the resulting credential encrypted and uses it only for the account you connected.
Every platform decides for itself which applications may ask its users for that permission, and each runs its own review. Until a platform has completed that review, only the application's own accounts can connect — which is where MyBrandIs is today.
Possession of a file has never been permission to publish it. Connecting an account does not change what MyBrandIs is allowed to post; a person still approves each thing that goes out.
Questions people actually ask
Can I sign up?
Not yet. There are no accounts, no sign-in and no billing. If you want to be told when that changes, write to us and we will keep your address for that purpose and nothing else.
Does MyBrandIs post on my behalf automatically?
No. A person approves anything that goes out. There is no autopilot, and the approval step is not something a setting can remove.
What happens to my photographs?
Files you bring in from your own machine are read where they are. MyBrandIs does not move, rename, alter or delete your originals.
Can I connect Instagram or YouTube today?
Not yet. The connectors are built and working, but each platform must review the application before people outside MyBrandIs can connect their own accounts.
Will my website be published automatically?
No. A site is created empty, you fill it, and it goes live when you decide it does.
